This is a Welsh oak dresser from Caernarfonshire, circa 1820. It has a bold cornice above a stepped open rack terminating in shaped shoes.
The base is breakfronted and has a row of three drawers with cockbeaded edging, turned wooden knobs and bone escutcheons. Below the drawers are a row of three dummy drawers, also with cockbeaded edging and which are framed by intricate rosewood turned columns. These are flanked by two well proportioned flat-panelled cupboard doors.
The whole is raised on four front applied braket feet

86.5" high, 69" wide, 20" deep
220 cms high, 175 cms wide, 51 cms deep
