It has fine turned spindles and nicely proportioned outwardly flowing arms

A magnificent ash Welsh comb-back stick chair from Carmarthenshire, circa 1780.
It has fine turned spindles and nicely proportioned outwardly flowing arms. The front turnings are well-worn and finely turned and it has a very substantial seat.
The chair is raised on four turned legs united with stretchers.
