Oak Welsh Dresser

This is a lovely proportioned oak Welsh dresser from either the Carmarthenshire or Cardiganshire area, circa 1760. The rack has a very neat cornice above three shelves with a central support to maintain stability.
The base has two rows of slim drawers above an intricate fretted apron, this is finished off nicely with a central ogee shaping and cock-beading running along the full length. The whole dresser is raised upon four turned legs supported by a potboard base.
