This is a bold Welsh dresser base from North Wales, circa 1740. With its substantial proportions this is a particularly useful piece for both storage and display.
At the top of the base are three drawers with raised and fielded panels. These lie above two double horizontal raised and fielded panelled doors with a slim vertical raised and fielded panel separating them. The whole piece is supported upon four stile feet.
