This is an attractive oak dresser base from either the Vale of Glamorgan or Swansea Valley area, c1780. Situated on the one-piece top are a row of seven spice drawers sitting on a slightly raised moulded platform finished either side with a slim shaped shoe.
There are five drawers in the base with a very elaborately fretted apron below. The base is supported by three finely turned legs over a triple-panelled potboard with applied moulding, all raised upon five square feet.
