antique oak chest on stand the upper section of two small and two large cock beaded drawers
separated by plum crossbanding over a base with one real and two dummy drawers raised on cabriole legs
The flowing inlaid decoration of holly and bog oak is in a pattern associated with the Vale of Glamorgan
antique Chest-on-chest bearing many exceptional features including an elaborately fretted swan neck
pediment and shaped and carved feet This style of inlaid decoration was a particular feature of the
Towy Valley area and the central drawer bears the initials of Jane Thomas of
Dyfadfan Uchaf of Gwynfe She was born in 1796 but died before her
marriage and by family repute the first initial was changed to that of her younger sister Hannah
